The adult animated series will kick off the first chapter of the DCCU: Gods and Monsters saga, featuring a group of deadly creatures in a task force led by Rick Flag Sr., actor The character has been compared to Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury.
In an interview with Collider, Grillo outlined his role in the first chapter of the DCU. He spoke of his “very crucial role” in it peacemaker Season 2, his experience working with Gunn biocommandoand joked about the situation on the set superman and actually existing David CollenswaiteGrillo considers him a rising “superstar.”
Grillo said of Rick Flag Sr.’s role in the DCU:
“I have a bit of a Sam Jackson vibe. “I’m telling you, he and Peter sent me all the scripts – I read them all in one day, and then I read them again. I wish I could send you the text message I sent them, because I read There were a lot of scripts. I wasn’t getting scripts from Steven Zailllian and top people in Hollywood, so when they sent me these scripts, I was like, “Oh my God. “My thoughts were exactly yours. Of superheroes, maybe no one is second to that, and Batman is nowhere near that, right? These are two superheroes that I grew up with, but stepping on set and knowing Gunn was at the helm, even. It’s also a gift that I’m working in, and I’ll tell you one thing – and I hope I don’t get in trouble for this – I peeked at a little bit of the trailer, I’m not kidding.
