Anthony Ramos He has appeared in many movies and TV series over the years, but is famous for hamiltonWhen the film, which he stars in on Broadway, is released, fans around the world can watch it on Disney+.
He continues to capitalize on his fame, landing more and more roles, and now he’s entering the world of the Marvel Universe.
Ramos spoke with ComingSoon about his role in the upcoming series heart of steelin which he will play villain Parker Robinson, aka The Hood. Ramos was asked if he used comics to create the character, and he responded:
“No, I didn’t really delve into the comics. I was just very focused on my character and you just follow the script. But I was also like, Yo, how do I make him different? How do I make him stand out? different?
“Parker Robinson in the comics is from New York. Our guy is from Chicago, where our show takes place. So I just wanted to make him super dynamic. Like every character, I just see how I relate to him. What the relationship is like and try to insert yourself into the character as much as possible.
“I guess that’s how I saw it. But definitely, I referenced the comics. He had a certain look, but Parker Robinson in the comics looked different than me, you know? So, being able to almost recreate that People are so cool.
When asked about playing the villain, Ramos said:
“Yeah, man. It’s cool. I get to play these bad guy characters. Even in Twister, I wasn’t necessarily the good guy in the movie, you know what I’m saying?
“I think we all have that side of us, you know? I appreciate that. It’s nice of you to say I’m a lovable guy. I appreciate it, my brother. That’s what makes playing these types of roles Better reasons.
“Because even some of our favorite villains are still likable, right? You think of the Joker, right? There are some villains in the movie where you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, I really, really like this. Guy, but he’s the worst.
He went on to say:
“Every bad guy has their reasons, man. They have their reasons, whether it makes sense to you or not and whether you agree with what they’re doing or not. They’re like, ‘Well, I’m doing this because…’
“One of my favorite things about playing a bad guy is that you really get into the mind of someone who has essentially done something wrong, but they’ve justified their doing it. To them, their reasons are legitimate Yes, and for a good reason.
“So it was fun to explore that, not just with Hood, but with these different characters that I play.”
