James Gunn Along with his trio of great successes at Marvel Studios Guardians of the Galaxy Movies, all of them are great! During this time, Gunn also worked on several spin-off projects that Marvel ultimately never produced.
In a recent interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Gunn revealed the three Guardians of the Galaxy spinoffs Marvel is considering developing.
These include a show about the Reavers, a project about Rocket and Groot, and the legendary Star-Lord. When asked about these derivatives, Gunn said:
“There’s so many. I mean, yeah, I think the Predator show could be a fun thing. The legendary Star-Lord, frankly, we have a whole idea for that. And then Rocket and Groot…”
Gunn went on to explain that Rocket and Groot ended up being Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3shouted:
“Honestly, Rocket & Groot is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. So, I wanted to do Rocket & Groot first, and then someone convinced me to do Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 instead of Rocket & Groot. Groot. I knew I needed to tell Team Rocket’s story.
Gunn was then asked if he would serve as a producer on any future Marvel Avengers projects, and Gunn said he wasn’t sure what the legal answer was. However, he did say that the studios and creative teams associated with these projects have his blessing.
“I’m excited for them to do whatever they want to do with Guardians of the Galaxy,” he said. “Taking these characters and seeing more stories with them.
Gunn also revealed that Star-Lord star Chris Pratt came to him for advice, saying: “Chris has my blessing, they all have my blessing. Chris kept saying, ‘Is this okay? ? “I’m like man, no matter what, I’m totally fine with whatever you do. You do it. He’s one of my very close friends and I’m excited to see him be Star-Lord again.
We know Marvel has plans for Star-Lord, and it will be interesting to see how that plays out. Would you like to see these spin-offs made?
