While we wait to actually see some footage James Gunnof supermanthe filmmakers continue to talk about it and tease what we can expect from it.
In a recent interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Gunn explained that the film will be a “silver age of science fiction” take on Man of Steel.
He said: “I don’t think we’ve ever seen elements of the science fiction Silver Age Superman in a movie. We’ve never seen that… you’ll see it when the movie comes out, but we’ve never seen Superman live. this particular part.
then he continued talking Nicholas Hoult’s Taking on Lex Luthor, saying: “I don’t think we’ve ever seen Lex like this [Nicolas Hoult] yes. Nick was magnificent. You’re like, “Oh, shit, poor Superman.” That’s something we’ve never seen in the movies.
“Sometimes in comics you say, ‘Oh, Superman is screwed because Lex is so smart and so good at what he does,’ but in the movies, you’re like, ‘Lex is about to be screwed.’ * edit.
“We have a tall old Superman and a pretty tall Lex. You see now where Lex is, he’s not someone you want against you.”
superman will follow “Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent in Smallville, Kansas.”
“He was the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world where kindness is considered obsolete.”
“It’s set in a very different world from ours and very far removed from the DCEU. The heroes have been around for many years and we’ll see how it affects the history of that world and shapes the DCU.”
I’m excited about this movie and I hope it’s as good as I imagined it in my head.
