The world’s first professional 65mm film grain – now available!

I’m excited to release the world’s first professional grade 65mm film grain! It’s only available for the next 48 hours, along with my brand new 8mm, 16mm and 35mm film grain.

While there are other film grain options, the vast majority of them are created entirely using digital tools. They simply don’t have the look and feel of real film stock because they are 100% digital.

Even the few “real” film grains on the market cannot match the consistency, quality, resolution and results that CINECOLOR film grain provides. Not to mention, there really is no alternative to the 65mm look!

This grain (now available at www.cinecolor.io) is handcrafted frame-by-frame using ultra-high-resolution scans of actual Kodak motion picture stock and enhanced through a proprietary post-production process to produce unparalleled results .

I am sure there is no other grain on the market that can compete with this.

Each of our film grain files is mastered at 6K resolution for maximum versatility no matter what camera or format you use.

The 8mm and 16mm grains are great for adding a more distinctly stylized/vintage effect to your imagination, while the 35mm and 65mm grains will provide a gorgeous, high-end contemporary aesthetic.

The 65mm grain in particular is so clean that I can easily use it in commercial productions where grain isn’t usually needed. It adds a subtle layer of film to every image it’s applied to, and is addictive to use.

All grain files are ProRes 6K (6144 x 3456 resolution) with native aspect ratio of 16:9. Each file is carefully calibrated to ensure the correct grain size and density, so you don’t need to adjust any settings after application to get a realistic film look.

These pellets can be purchased individually on the Film Grain Collection page on my CINECOLOR website or bundled together in the Film Grain Masterpack.

***Only until August 15, 2020, you can purchase the Film Grain Master Pack at a 20% discount! This is the minimum you’ll pay for this set, so be sure to buy it before prices go back up.

    enjoy!
