It’s safe to say that Miss Matlock had a pair of beautiful brass corsets underneath her performance to the unsuspecting septuagenarian. Following on from the last episode, this is definitely a good sign.
No wonder Kathy Bates received her ninth Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Marty. In the Belly of the Beast really shows why Baez was the absolute best choice for the role.
Now that Madeleine Matlock has everything she needs for a premium laptop, it’s only a matter of time before the truth comes out.
I’d like to remind everyone that the show’s creators have strongly stated that this big mystery will be well-resolved by the end of Matlock’s first season.
Madeleine Matlock has something up her sleeve
As far as promos go, Matlock Season 1 Episode 8 leaves a lot to be desired. However, it does get things off to a spicy start that is a bit hard to follow without context.
The first thing the audience hears is an unknown character pointing at Marty and saying, “Don’t underestimate Miss Matlock. This woman is a shark. Does anyone know who this woman is?”
From what she says, it seems like she knew Marty earlier than this episode. However, she calls her Matlock and not Kingston, so that can’t be the case, right?
However, here’s the problem. After that part, Marty responded “I love that” with a charming, cheeky giggle. The moment, though brief, leaves enough of an impression to stimulate the imagination.
Since this is Matlock’s last episode before his winter hiatus, I highly doubt this will be a filler episode. Instead, I think the promo deliberately avoided the most important moments of the episode.
God knows we felt this back in Matlock Season 1 Episode 7, when Marty was at the end of his rope. Not to mention the lovely legal assistant Billy.
Matlock is back to the drawing board
In the Belly of the Beast was an incredibly emotional series that left many fans shocked by what happened. If you’re like this TV fanatic, you were absolutely shocked that Billy’s girlfriend Claudia turned down his proposal.
Luckily, I had the opportunity to interview Billy’s David Del Rio about the series. It can be said that each character has its own characteristics.
The biggest moment of the episode, however, comes at the end, when Matlock reveals that Marty has been on the move to access Advanced’s emails.
Now comes the critical moment. In a promo for Matlock Season 1 Episode 8, Marty tells Edwin, “Email attachment. This is a picture of Senior in Sydney.
Immediately, the first thought that came to mind was, “Oh, no. Marty did all this work, but it’s a dead end.” But wait, because Edwin went on to say, “So, there’s no way he’s signing these documents. .
The final nail in the coffin came when Marty responded, “It’s fake.” that’s right. Bang bang, bang bang, bang. So, who signed these damn documents?
Raise your hand if you think senior figures are behind the Wellbrexa cover-up
This is a difficult question because the easiest answer to understand is obviously Julian. Of course, he’s always been adamant about not wanting to be like his father, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t try to gain his approval if given the chance.
Not to mention, Julian (Jason Ritter) works for pharmaceutical companies, specifically Wellbrexa. However, one thing we can all agree on when it comes to Matlock is that if you think the story is going to go in one direction, it’s definitely going to go in another.
One viewer came up with a valid theory that whoever Marty is following, it won’t be Olympia, Julian or Senior. They will be characters we may only see once or twice.
If that’s the case, he must be the senior’s assistant. He’s done everything for the senior (Beau Bridges), and if the senior was on the other side of the world, I could easily see him taking the initiative in this situation.
Still, it seems too easy and reeks of scapegoating to let the protagonist off the hook. Raise your hand if you believe Senior is behind the Wellbrexa cover-up.
Viewers should keep their expectations high, because Miss Golden Globe nominee Kathy Bates always brings it to the Matlock table
The official synopsis for Matlock Season 1, Episode 8 reads: “YouThree helps Olympia defend a maligned nanny at her children’s school.
“Additionally, Marty is intensely searching for important documents regarding the Wellbrexa case.”
There’s little left to do considering No, No Monsters will transport viewers into the holidays with that description still running through their heads no matter what.
Interestingly, fellow CBS series NCIS: Origins did something similar recently. There was little to no description of their most recent episode before the episode aired.
However, if you talk to anyone who has seen it, they will tell you it is an exciting experience. I had a feeling there was another game coming with Marty leading the charge.
Still, if there’s one thing Matlock insists on, it’s keeping the cases fresh, exciting, and heartbreaking. Most importantly, it will be interesting to see Olympia (Skye P. Marshall) become emotionally involved in the case.
The client is a nanny at Olympia Children’s School. Every mom with young children knows that school and home life often intersect. At this age, teachers and parents must strengthen communication.
Therefore, Olympia has a good chance of creating a personal connection with its customers. It’s perfect for her journey since the season 1 premiere of “Matlock.”
Olympia has been figuring out what kind of lawyer she wants to be, and thankfully, Marty seems to be making a real impact on her.
Still, we’ll have to see what happens after Olympia and Julian dropped the bomb about his affair before they broke up. Again, this is a difficult problem to deal with.
Should Olympia really be upset about what happened before they broke up and then reconciled? If anything, this shows that starting over is important to Julian and Olympia because they can get things right this time.
Most importantly, though, let’s hope Sarah and Kira can keep this budding romance going. Can you imagine Sarah being heartbroken? Me neither, because it’s unfathomable.
Regardless, viewers had better keep their expectations high, because recent Golden Globe nominee Miss Kathy Bates always brings it to the Matlock table.
