chimpanzee crazy is the latest version of “tiger king“And it will all end in tears. Whether Tonka is “found” or not. Look at all the horror stories about chimpanzees in captivity.
novel
Jordan Peele’s book cites the true story of Travis and Buck, two chimpanzees who attacked humans. No. In movies and TV shows, chimpanzees panic in front of the camera. exist NoGordy’s performance was filmed in front of a live studio audience. “Gordie” seriously hurt someone on set.
As a result, actors, technicians, and audiences were all traumatized. Here, Peele blends two stories together to dramatic effect. Surprisingly, true stories are much worse than fictional ones.
fact
Travis:
A woman kept a chimpanzee named Travis. As Travis grew up and became a 200-pound version of the little guy his owner brought home, he became unruly. He ended up suddenly biting off a female friend’s face. Travis also ripped the woman’s hand off.
*novel: This fact is mentioned as a line in the 2024 film. “Ever since that chimpanzee ate a woman’s face, we can no longer keep them as pets. (sic)*
The victim, Charla Nash, was attacked in 2009.
Buck:
Another lovely pie. Raised from an infant by a woman. Buck comes of age. Another 200+ pound animal with a bad attitude. He attacks and brutalizes his master’s daughter.
Facts Part 2
Both animals were destroyed after being attacked. However, only after each chimpanzee destroyed at least two human lives. This does not include the various eventual traumas experienced by the owners.
chimpanzee crazy Beginning with one “monkey trader” and ending with another “monkey trader”; Tonya Haddix. Haddix raises Thangka, a chimpanzee who has a special bond with actor Alan Cumming.
Cumming collaborated with Thangka on the 1997 film “Buddy.” The two formed a very special bond and the actor will never forget this special chimp.
Fast forward many years, and Alan learns that the chimpanzees Tonka and Haddix live together. Nothing against a woman who lies under oath. A delusional animal lover and somewhat dangerous to the animals she keeps.
Cumming is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to his old friend. He joined forces with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta), which he has supported for many years.
Facts part three
Tongka was discovered. Haddix has kept the animal hidden throughout the documentary so far. Turn your nose up at the legal field. Next week’s episode of “Tiger King”: Fantasy Island, the show’s finale, will reveal the common ground that angered the judge and PETA.
I’d hazard a guess that both men would be enraged enough to throw the proverbial book at Haddix. While we await the consequences of at least perjury and wasting the authorities’ time and money, we can only wonder why.
What motivates someone like Haddix to believe he is above the law?
