I know he’ll be playing a version of Steve Rogers, and now that it’s been leaked, I can tell you the version of Rogers that Evans will be playing.

Snyder said on The Hot Mic podcast with John Rocha, “I had heard who this character was…I was talking today and someone mentioned it…Nomad.”
Although this is just a rumor, I heard it a few months ago. At one point, Marvel was actually making a Nomad movie starring Chris Ivan, and Steve Roger’s Nomad would put the Infinity Stones back, but that The movie was scrapped.
So it makes sense that Marvel would keep the character in Doomsday, and if that’s true, it’ll be interesting to see how he’s introduced and utilized in the story.
But my guess is that this version of Nomad is Earth-616’s Steve Rogers, who became Nomad after leaving with the Infinity Stones in 2017. Avengers: Endgame.
Nomad is an alter ego played by Steve Rogers in 1974’s “Captain America” #180 comic. In this storyline, he abandons the Captain America moniker after losing faith in the U.S. government, becoming a man who serves no country.
