back Deadpool and Wolverine Becoming a huge hit for Marvel Studios, fans have been wondering when we would get to see these characters in action again. There is no doubt that we will see these two characters fighting side by side again!
I believe that next time I see these characters, I will be there Avengers: Doomsdayas we know that many MCU characters will come together to fight Doctor Doom in this movie.
When asked in a recent interview if fans would like to see Deadpool and Wolverine in the movie Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret WarsAfterwards, Reynolds pretended to be shy and said he had no updates.
However, he did express his opinion on whether Deadpool should become an Avenger or an X-Men. The actor told The Hollywood Reporter:
“There’s no latest news to share at this time, but I believe Kevin and Lou D’Esposito [a filmmaker and Marvel executive producer] with my life. My favorite character trait of Deadpool is that he is a Deadpool.
“His passion and desire to be part of a team is something that I really like. It’s the most important story of him getting his wish fulfilled. But I don’t think he should be an Avenger or an X-Men. If he becomes either of those , we’re screwed.
Later in the interview, when asked if this meant Deadpool wouldn’t appear in the Avengers movie, Reynolds corrected the interviewer, saying:
“Quite the opposite! I think Deadpool works well with the X-Men and the Avengers, but he always needs to remain an outsider.
Reynolds went on to talk about Deadpool’s needs and dreams, saying: “His ultimate dream is to be accepted and appreciated. But he can’t be accepted.
“His coping mechanism of deflecting shame through humor is only effective when used to compensate for his many shortcomings.” Reynolds reiterated that Deadpool’s addition to the team means “we have reached the end of his journey.”
Even if Reynolds knew Deadpool and Wolverine were going to appear in the upcoming Avengers movie, he wouldn’t have said anything! He’s not going to spoil that for everyone. But it would be really cool to see Deadpool and Wolverine team up with other MCU characters to fight Doctor Doom!
Avengers: Doomsday It is scheduled to premiere in U.S. theaters on May 1, 2026. secret wars May 7, 2027.
