Ella Purnell She has been involved in many successful video game adaptations, including fall out and arcane.
While both shows were great, and Purnell’s performance in them was impressive, she’s not so sure that’s a good thing because she doesn’t want to be typecast as a “video game girl.”
While speaking with fans at MCM x EGX 2024, Purnell discussed her place in video game pop culture, saying:
“It’s true, and I feel guilty saying it, but I’m not a gamer and I don’t know how I managed to get two video game adaptations that were both good. I don’t know how it happened, but it happened .I don’t know the answer.
Now, Purnell does like the character she plays arcane and fall outbut there are still concerns that this could lead to a pattern.
“I actually think I need to stay away from video game adaptations right now because I’m going to be typecast. I’m going to be the video game girl. I think there are worse things than that.”
Purnell is a talented and versatile actress and I don’t think she needs to worry about being typecast as a video game girl.
She has also appeared in films such as Yellow shirt army, Invincibleshe will star in the upcoming film sweet peasin which she played a serial killer.
