Kygo’s new oceanfront hotel opens in Miami

Kygo’s work has long been considered the stuff of seaside resort music, and now he and his team have created something real.

Palm Tree Club is a hotel and restaurant project of Palm Tree Crew, a large company founded by Norwegian producer and his manager Myles Shear. The hotel will open in Miami on December 21 as the former Shuckers Waterfront Bar & Grill, a 150-room hotel that has been completely remodeled to reflect the laid-back tropical aesthetic of Kygo and Palm Tree Crew.

The building was built in the 1970s and reflects the post-World War II Miami Modern (MiMo) architectural style common in the city and throughout South Florida. The hotel also features an Art Deco style, stylish guest rooms, a restaurant, a 24-hour fitness center, a 20-boat dock so guests can cruise and enjoy dinner, and other amenities.

The resort’s opening also marks a new expansion of the Palm Tree Crew empire, which also includes the ongoing Palm Tree Festival (held in luxury locations such as the Hamptons and Aspen), as well as artist management, record labels and other food and beverage offerings .

Kygo and Shear say the resort has long been part of the plan advertising billboard In 2022, they draw inspiration from the late, great Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville empire of music, resorts, restaurants, events and other lifestyle offerings.
