Paramount+ renews ‘The Mayor of Kingston’ for Season 4
The news comes about four months after the Paramount+ series’ third season finale. A fourth season of the show has long been rumored to be coming, with Paramount opening a writers room for Season 4 back in October and looking forward to a renewal.
Jeremy Renner plays McCluskey in the show, which also stars Hugh Dillon, Toby Bentfa, Tyler Handley, Derek Webster, Nicole Galicia and more.
The official description for Season 3 reads: “In Season 3, a series of bombings rock Kingston and its residents, a new face of Russian gangsters sets up shop in town, and a drug war breaks out both inside and outside prison walls. War. Mike McCluskey (Reiner) is under pressure to end the war, but things get complicated when a familiar face from his incarcerated past threatens to derail the mayor’s efforts to keep peace between the factions stand up.
Taylor Sheridan co-wrote “The Mayor of Kingston” with Dillon. The two serve as executive producers along with Renner. Dave Erickson serves as executive producer and showrunner. Antoine Fuqua, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Michael Friedman, Christoph Schrewe, Wendy Riss, Evan Perazzo and Keith Cox also serve as executive producers. The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions.
