If there’s one thing we can rely on, it’s that people are essentially self-centered and self-absorbed.
Oh, come on! I mean “Traitor”, not you and me!
Let’s see what we can expect.
Peacock this morning released the trailer and key art for the third season of the Emmy-winning competition reality show.
The show will return with a three-episode premiere on January 9 at 9/8c, hosted by Emmy Award winner Alan Cumming.
Following the three-episode premiere, new episodes will air every Thursday at 9/8c, with the finale and reunion airing on March 6 on Peacock.
For those who hoped reality TV was on its way out, Renegade proves otherwise.
According to Nielsen, Season 2 of Renegades became the No. 1 unscripted series across all streaming platforms in the U.S. during its launch week.
“Traitors” was also nominated for four Primetime Emmy Awards, winning “Outstanding Reality Program” and “Outstanding Host of a Reality or Reality Program” for host Alan Cumming.
All of these honors come on the heels of Renegades winning an Emmy for Outstanding Casting in a Reality Series for its first season.
But what exactly is “Traitor”?
This is a gripping psychological adventure where betrayal and deception are the name of the game. What true TV fanatic doesn’t love betrayal and deceit?
The industry’s hottest reality stars join host Alan Cumming at an ancient castle deep in the Scottish Highlands to perform a series of exciting tasks in order to build up a prize worth up to $250,000.
Traitors hide among the loyalists and their goal is to destroy the loyalists and capture the prize for themselves.
Under cover of darkness, the traitors kill the loyalists one by one in a treacherous orgy, while the loyalists seek to expose the traitors and banish them from the game.
If loyal contestants oust all the traitors, they share the prize, but if one traitor (or traitors) sticks to the end, they steal all the money. Wahahahahahaha! !
NBC will air the first two episodes of “Traitors” season 3 on January 20 at 8/7c/9:30c ET. Seasons 1 and 2 are also available to watch on Peacock.
As if that wasn’t enough, Peacock recently announced The Traitors Experience, an immersive competitive gaming experience pop-up store in Los Angeles.
Of course, you need to be a Los Angeles resident, but maybe you can add this to your next visit.
The experience will take participants inside the collection’s Scottish castles.
Fans will experience their own version of the nail-biting competition as they complete a series of games and puzzles to identify the traitor in the group.
You may not be able to join the ranks of famous people in the Scottish Highlands, but if you’re nearby you can experience what they were like.
Here’s the first look at the new season:
