Ariana Grande says she’s putting a stop to the possibility of touring as “Wicked” fever reaches a fever pitch with some radio stations buzzing. We have stories. Ariana Grande talks to Variety about her passion for acting and taking a break from her busy schedule. “I’m so grateful to be able to perform, and I want my fans to know that music and the stage will always be a part of my life, but I don’t think it’s going to happen anytime soon,” she said. She added: “I think acting right now feels like Just like at home. I’m grateful. [my fans’] understand. I’m so grateful that we’ve grown together throughout this whole journey of Wicked. But music will always be a part of my life.
As awards season approaches, her role in the film musical Wicked is getting all the attention and radio attention. Grande’s “Popular” debuts at No. 27 on Adult Pop Airplay and No. 29 on Pop Airplay, while her and Cynthia Erivo’s “Defying Gravity” debuts at No. 39 on both charts for the first time.
