Christmas is just around the corner with new holiday songs in Spanish or Spanglish, originals or covers, and more than one album. That’s despite must-see classics like José Feliciano’s Feliz Navidad (which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2020) still making the top 10 list. advertising billboardArtists like Maria Becerra and Thalia on the Holiday 100 have new albums to add to your playlist this holiday season.
The former released a bilingual version of the American classic “Jingle Bell Rocks,” adding Spanish verses to Bobby Helms’ vocals on the iconic 1957 original recording to create a haunting A refreshing duet. The latter released a six-song EP melancholy christmasCollaborated with Marcos Witt, it incorporates rhythms such as bachata and cumbia, and combines pop and Christian music.
“This album was born out of my need to preserve my childhood memories and transform them into memories full of joy, hope and strength to live my life with confidence on these special days,” Thalia told The Verge in October one Instagram post read.
The Latin music program this Christmas is diverse, with songs to dance to, reflect on or enjoy with family or friends. David Bisbal is one of those releasing a full-length album, dropping a 10-song set Everything is possible at Christmas, It includes an original song of the same name as well as Spanish-language versions of American classics. And Luis Angel “El Flaco” — comes with a deluxe edition of his 2021 LP Merry Christmashe added three new songs – as well as Venezuelan musician Beet Acosta, whose glowing Christmas Express EP.
For those who are far away from loved ones, Joaquina captures the feeling of nostalgia in the song “Airport.” In “Maria”, Ricardo Montaner beautifully tells the story of Jesus’ birth from his mother’s perspective, to the rhythm of bachata.
Helpless romantics can enjoy Zhamira Zambrano and Jay Wheeler performing a wonderful version of “Santa Claus,” while another Latin musical couple, Camilo Camilo and Evaluna recorded “Navidad en Cada Corner (It’s Starting to Look Like Christmas).”
DJ Deorro’s “Querido Santa Claus,” and Ryan Castro, Juanes, and SOG’s “Chucu Chucu” brought laughter and fun to the festival, while Lupita Infante spread her joy with “¡Navidad!” Navidad! Mix.

Maria Becerra, “Jingle Bells”
Maria Becerra has released a bilingual version of her Christmas classic “Jingle Bell Rock,” in which she provides new verses in Spanish. Originally written by Joe Beal and Jim Boothe and sung by American singer Bobby Helms, the song debuted in 1957 and has been covered by many artists.
According to a press release, this new reinterpretation is the idea of producer and composer Jason Nevins, who was inspired by Natalie and Nat “King” Cole Inspired by Nat “King” Cole’s iconic duet on “Unforgettable,” the proposal was to pair Helms’ original voice with the Argentinian star’s name. The result is delightful and refreshing.
