Earlier this year, it was reported Paul Rudd and jack black will star in a comedic reimagining of the creature feature python.
They recently released a video hilariously announcing that the movie will be released on December 25, 2025.
The new story follows “a group of friends facing a midlife crisis who embark on a remake of their favorite movie from their youth. They travel to the rainforest, only to find themselves battling natural disasters, giant snakes, and violent criminals.
One of the actors will play a “former director, a man trapped in his job as a wedding photographer,” while the other will play an actor who worked for a time on a police drama but saw Watching his Hollywood dreams get further and further away.
The film is produced by Columbia Pictures and directed by Tom Gormican from a script he co-wrote with Kevin Ayton. Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are producing the film.
