Barack Obama has dropped his much-anticipated best of 2024 list, which includes his favorite movies, songs and books of the year.
“I always look forward to sharing my annual list of my favorite books, movies, and music,” the former president wrote on his social media account. “Today I’ll start by sharing a few that still stick with me after reading them. Books.” He also invites his followers to check out the books he shares, preferably at independent bookstores or libraries.
His favorite books include Sally Rooney’s episode, Jonathan Haidt’s Anxious GenerationAllie Russell Hochschild pride of chairMartin McGuinness in ascension and Alexei Navalny patriot.

He also recommended 10 movies that fans should watch this year, some of which have not yet been released but are already strong contenders for major awards. His favorite is Everything we imagine is light, Conclave, Piano Lessons, Promised Land, Seed of the Sacred Fig, Dune: Part 2, Anora, Didi, Cane and Completely unknown.
While the Oscar nominations have yet to be announced, the Golden Globes announced this year’s nominees earlier this month, which includes six nominations secret meeting, Five for Anorathree for Completely unknowntwo for Everything we imagine is light and Dune: Part 2and one for Sacred Fig Seeds.
Obama’s song of the year likely reflects other people’s hits, such as Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em,” Billie Eilish’s “Lunch,” Shabuze’s “Bar Song ),” Tommy Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby,” Hozier’s “Too Sweet.”
In his caption, he encouraged his followers to consider checking out these songs if they want to change up their playlists. He also asked them to let him know if there was a song or artist worth listening to.
