As Stray Kids’ new album Jump Debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart (dated December 28), they became the first band to achieve No. 1 with their first six charting albums. The Billboard 200 began being published regularly on a weekly basis in March 1956.
Stray Kids previously debuted at the top of the charts ordinary and Maximum identification number (both in 2022), rock star and five stars (both in 2023) and ATE (early 2024).
Previously, Stray Kids was tied with late rapper DMX, who debuted at No. 1 on the charts between 1998 and 2003: It’s dark and hell is hot (1998), Flesh of my flesh, blood of my blood (1999), …and then there’s X (2000), Great Depression (2001) and overall championship (2003).
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multiple consumption metrics measured in equivalent album units compiled by Luminate. Units include album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit is equivalent to the sales of an album, or 10 individual tracks sold on the album, or 3,750 ad-supported tracks or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs on the album. Since March 1956, more than 1,200 different albums have reached number one on the Billboard 200. . For example, in 2024, of the 24 albums at No. 1, 22 debuted at No. 1.
