21 Savage is in the spirit of giving back to the community this holiday season. In addition to his Leading by Example Foundation, Savage hosted his sixth annual Holiday Toy Drive on Saturday afternoon (December 21) in DeKalb County, Georgia.
The Atlanta native helped 1,000 families in need this holiday season, delivering hot meals and 3,000 toys to children at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts and Community Center in DeKalb County. Parents spread holiday cheer as they leave the community center with boxes of gifts and new bikes.
“I’m a grandma of eight and I’m trying to figure out how to buy a gift for all my grandchildren,” one recipient, Angela Howard, told WSB-TV2.
Congressman Hank Johnson and Commissioner Mereda Davis Johnson presented 21 with four Proclamations and two Community Action Awards in recognition of his humanitarian efforts over the years. Going forward, December 21st will appropriately be known as 21 Savage Day in DeKalb County.
Giving back is nothing new for 21, who held their annual Issa Back to School Drive in August to provide students with all the supplies they need before school starts.
21 Savage sets the tone for 2024 with his release American dream album in January. He recruited numerous guests to join him, including Doja Cat, Young Thug, Travis Scott, Mariah the Scientist and more on 15 songs.
American dream It debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart with 133,000 album-equivalent sales in its first week.
