Beyoncé added a Netflix buffer joke ahead of her highly-anticipated NFL halftime show performance.
On Tuesday (December 24), the 43-year-old superstar shared a new 30-second trailer for her upcoming performance, which will be available on Netflix during the Christmas Day NFL doubleheader.
In the clip, Beyoncé wears a long cape, sparkly top, large hat and black sunglasses as she sits on a football field and strums the banjo while performing her hit song “Texas Hold” ‘Em”. After a while, she stopped playing, took off her sunglasses, and the camera zoomed in on her face, the buffer wheel spinning on the screen — a nod to Netflix’s mid-November Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul show. The trailer comes one day before Beyoncé will perform her hometown show at NRG Stadium in Houston, where she will take the stage for the highly anticipated Christmas Day matchup between the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens. Halftime show.
This will be Beyoncé’s first live performance since the album’s release Cowboy Carterher Billboard 200 album topped the list. The Christmas Day doubleheader kicks off with the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 pm ET, followed by the Texans taking on the Ravens at 4:30 pm ET. Both games, as well as Beyoncé’s halftime performance, will be streamed live on Netflix, with additional viewing available for regional broadcast and mobile viewers through NFL+.
