The plot synopsis of the film is as follows:
“Set against the backdrop of the influential New York music scene of the early 1960s, completely unknown 19-year-old Minnesota musician Bob Dylan (Timothée Chalamet) rises rapidly as a folk singer and takes to the music hall and chart-toppers—his songs and mystique made him a worldwide sensation, culminating in his groundbreaking electronic rock performance at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival.
