The Marvel Cinematic Universe is gearing up for an explosive showdown Captain America: Brave New World, Captain America, played by Sam Wilson, faces off against the angry Red Hulk, played by President “Thunderbolt” Ross.

The film’s creative team shared some interesting insights into how Sam will tackle this monumental challenge, and why Red Hulk won’t be growing a beard.

Some fans have been wondering how Captain America, who doesn’t have superpowers, could survive a fight with the Hulk, given Sam’s choice The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Say no to the super soldier serum.

Executive producer Nate Moore said this was a key question from the beginning. “When we decided this was the story we wanted to tell, we realized there was a big hurdle,” he told Entertainment Weekly.

Dan Cox, the film’s visual effects supervisor, added bluntly: “He’d get punched and his head would fly off.”

The solution is to provide Sam with a Waganda-designed vibranium suit designed to help Sam survive, but not necessarily dominate. This has been revealed before, but when elaborating, Moore said:

“I say ‘sort of’ because it’s Red Hulk. What are you going to do? We were very conscious of not making the movie feel dishonest. So equipping Sam for survival is not the same as equipping Sam for success.”

Cox later elaborated on the choreography required for such a fight: “We had to choreograph the fight sequence so that he could constantly use these limbs, basically two extra limbs, so that he could take on the Hulk every now and then. punches, but he does whatever he can to avoid those, and you’ll see it in the action sequences, and when he gets hit, it’s not fun.

Anthony Mackie Previously speaking about his new suit: He went on to explain that his new suit will even the odds in these battles, saying: “It’s a high-tech suit. I went to Wakanda, fought with Wakkan Da met everyone and we had dinner together.

“I put it on. I can kick harder, I can fly faster, it makes my skills more agile, so it takes all my skills to a whole different level.”

One of the more interesting revelations is that concept art of a mustachioed Red Hulk does exist, although it didn’t make the final cut. Marvel Studios Visual Development Supervisor Ryan Meinerding Confirmed this detail.

Moore also reflected on the late William HurtThe man who originally played Thunderbolt Ross stated that Hurt was keen to reprise the role before his death:

“When he died, it was a surprise. You figure out if it’s worth continuing your story or trying something else. It happened that Harrison Ford reached out [Marvel Studios President] Kevin Feige talks about potentially playing games in the Marvel sandbox.

Harrison FordThe man who now replaces Ross sees the role as a way to continue the character while paying homage to Hurt’s legacy. Moore revealed:

“What we loved was the idea of this guy trying to do the best he could, but couldn’t quite escape the demons of his past. Turning a guy who was hunting the Hulk into the Hulk himself made him more than just an adversary; it made him a tragedy figure.

Moore also hinted secret empire, The famous comedy storyline was the main inspiration for the film.

In the film, “After meeting with the newly elected President of the United States, Thaddeus Ross, Harrison Ford In his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut, Sam finds himself embroiled in an international incident.

“Before the real mastermind lights up the entire world, he must uncover the reasons behind a sinister global conspiracy.”

The first reaction to the film was not good. The film has been described as “irrelevant” and “bland”. However, we’ll just have to wait and see the movie ourselves.

What do you make of McGee’s comments about how Sam Wilson would stand up to and effectively fight super-powered villains?

Captain America: Brave New World Released in U.S. theaters on February 14, 2025.
