While Em and Lamar will be competing for Best Rap Performance at the 2025 Grammy Awards, Eminem believes K. Dot will “sweep” all seven of his nominations come February 2.
Slim Shady and Paul Rosenberg celebrated the 20th anniversary of SiriusXM station Shade45 on Christmas Eve by doing an interview with the channel along with DJ Whoo Kid, which ended with Em giving props to Lamar.
“It’s very competitive,” Eminem said of her Grammy-nominated peers. “Kendrick is going to sweep that game.” He will, and he should.
Of Lamar’s seven nominations, he received double consideration in some categories for his work on the Mustard-produced “Not Like Us” Drake diss and his assistance on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That” The songs topped the Billboard Hot 100.
Eminem is competing in his Best Rap Performance category Death of Slim Shady The remix features the lead single “Houdini”.
The Detroit icon is also nominated in the Best Rap Album category Death of Slim ShadyLamar’s GNX Since it was released outside of the 2025 Grammy calendar, it won’t appear, so it will compete for nominations in the 2026 awards.
Eminem has long praised the greatness of Kendrick Lamar, declaring K. Dot a “very, very top lyricist.” Not just this generation, but all times.
They also appeared on the Super Bowl stage together in 2022, when the big game came to Los Angeles to watch the Super Bowl LVI halftime show led by Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.
