After performing this song Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest rock a night in New York 2025the song was the lead single from Kesha’s 2010 debut album, animal — earned it Spotify’s most-played day ever. According to a chart shared by Kesha, the song has nearly 1.4 billion plays to date and has seen significant growth over the New Year, with nearly 2 million plays in the past few days, a 98% surge.
“This song is for the wild ones, the party girls, the ones who push too hard, laugh too loud, talk too much. I love you,” Kesha added. “Thank you animals!!! Now Alexa please play TikTok louder.
“Tik Tok” was released in August 2009, but it didn’t reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 until the first week of January 2010, giving Kesha her first chart-topper in a decade; I stayed for 9 weeks, for a total of 38 weeks.
Wearing a fire engine red leotard and matching boots, Kesha rocked the stage on New Year’s Eve and also performed her current single “Joyride,” which is expected to appear on her upcoming Kesha Records imprint on the company’s studio album.
