Successful Program Series Nearly every formula contains some ingredient, whether it’s police, hospital or fire.
A cliché and trope that never seems to go out of style is the classic “will they, won’t they”.
It’s an overused storytelling tool, but it might not be as popular with High Potential as the author thought. If you’re like this TV fanatic, the last thing you want is for Morgan and Karadek to end up together.
Don’t get me wrong – they have great chemistry, but whether that’s due to the characters working well together or something else remains to be seen.
you tell me. Is there more going on for this fascinating investigative duo? Should there be? Would you welcome this, or be a drag on high-potential talent?
How did Morgan and Karadek go from barely tolerating each other to potential love interests?
It seems like High Potential is trying to slowly get Morgan and Karadek to develop romantic feelings for each other.
If you remember their rather adversarial working relationship in the first episode of High Potential’s first season, these two have gone through the classic hate-to-friendship route.
There was a lot of yelling, bickering, and on-the-spot exits, leading everyone in the audience to believe that Karadek and Morgan couldn’t even be in the same room together.
So how did we get to the point where we were questioning whether these two would end up together?
I see clues there, but luckily it doesn’t look like either character will acknowledge or even notice any sense of growth for a while.
Not to mention, Tom has just been introduced, and Karadek (Daniel Sunjata) has only been seen on one date so far. If nothing else, there has to be at least a montage or caradek in some of the hilarious dates.
Karadek, Tom and Ludo, oh my god!
Personally, I see Morgan and Karadek more as siblings than potential love interests. As their working relationship develops, they become very interesting and develop a real respect for each other.
Their friendship is just beginning to scratch the surface of the “mutual interference” phase. There is no need to start complicating things with emotions.
Besides, some of us still hold out hope for Ludo. Remember that guy last seen on High Potential Season 1 Episode 7, worried sick about Morgan and Ava?
He was named Father and Co-Parent of the Year for his support of Morgan and his active involvement in his children’s lives. Are you telling me he’s not a contender?
I’m just saying that this person already has a history with the protagonist and the two of them could easily pick up where they left off.
Miss Morgan has more matches in her back pocket than her eagle eye can detect
However, if there’s a possibility of a connection between Morgan and Karadek, I think Karadek would be the first to feel it.
Slowly but surely he reveals his hand, and how lonely he feels with his one true love: his job.
You know this series is entirely based on the novels because in the real world, a tall, handsome, successful detective like Karadek would beat would-be suitors with a stick.
However, for the purposes of the story, I’m willing to accept that the only possible match for someone like Karadek is someone who works closely with him, namely Morgan (Caitlin Olsen).
The only certainty is that Morgan has enough potential to find love at work and at home. I’m not mad either, because this character’s heart is as big as her brain.
Whatever the case may be, viewers can look forward to where ABC’s High Potential will go with the series’ impeccable writing.
