For those hoping to get stuck into the Chicago emergency scene on Wednesday, January 15, 2024, we have bad news.
You’ll have to wait at least a week to see more of your favorite shows.
So, what happened tonight?
Four years into his term, President Biden will address the nation as he bids farewell.
While we don’t expect him to speak for more than 15 minutes, a full 8/7 hours are reserved for his presentation.
Since we were expecting an epic three-hour crossover show between Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD, it made sense to cancel those shows so that they could continue as planned.
Another option is to spread the love and air original episodes of “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago P.D.” tonight and take them down after next Wednesday’s new episode of “Chicago Med,” but that’s not ideal.
Fans have grown to love these interconnected stories, and even if they aren’t connected, they’ll appreciate the full three hours of Chicago goodness.
There are some big stories ahead.
“Chicago Med” Season 10 Episode 9 was one of the best moments as beloved teammates were put in danger and Dr. Abrams met his match.
Meanwhile, Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 9 finds Joe Cruz making a personal mistake involving a firehouse that could end up costing him everything — his job, his friends and his family.
Finally, after giving Kiana some much-appreciated backstory in Chicago PD Season 12 Episode 9, this upcoming episode sets up a big arc for Ruzek as a mysterious The child haunted him during the investigation.
There are some important stories happening in the Chicago universe.
While we don’t want to wait to find out what’s going on, we’re happy to postpone our excitement so we can watch them together.
Are you frustrated that your favorite show isn’t available tonight?
Regardless, please share your displeasure with this little mishap in the comments below.
We can all cheer up and get together next week for the One Chicago party!
