I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; it’s amazing how much the Fire Nation story can fit into a few episodes. The group appeared to have taken the cake and placed candles on top to celebrate Bode’s 30th birthday.
All in all, the last few episodes were some of the most intense and dramatic. It must also be said that the writers didn’t miss an opportunity for disaster.
Watching back-to-back episodes of Fire Nation has many benefits, but it also has interesting drawbacks. After watching so many episodes, I can’t help but wonder, “Is Edgewater cursed?”
Why would anyone live in this small town with frequent fires, frequent disasters, and no safe children’s market? A child who was thrown from a horrific ride survived.
All kidding aside, somehow Fire Nation manages to walk the tightrope of non-stop disaster with down-to-earth, gripping drama. Not to mention, it teaches us not to get attached to the characters.
Fire Nation writers have a terrible feel for storytelling, but unfortunately it works in the grand scheme of things
I have to say, I have mixed feelings about how the writers treated Rebecca’s story. First, she’s used as a plot device to further Freddy’s story, and then again to create some sexy scenes for Bode.
Then, when the character was finally brought back, it was a Bode who almost wanted nothing to do with her. So, how did she react? Like anyone who gets pushed aside without a second thought.
In the final episode of The Bazaar, where anything could go wrong, Rebecca and Max Theriot’s (SEAL Team) Bode manage to forge a true friendship.
So, obviously, the only course of action is to kill her off in the upcoming episode. These writers were trying to drive me crazy, and it worked.
‘Fire Nation’ is as rough with its audience as it is with its characters
In Fire Nation Season 1 Episode 15, the people behind Fire Nation weren’t even trying to be subtle.
The problem is Eve ends up trapped under a tree that I can’t even get into because how the hell did that happen?
Most importantly, Sharon deserves her brand new kidney in this episode.
In the end, Rebecca died, Eve was safe, Sharon didn’t get a kidney, Jack was no longer eligible to donate to her, and Manny was suspected of arson. Even for the Fire Nation, that was a lot.
Fire Nation is a roller coaster worth riding over and over again
And then there are all these supporting characters coming in and out of the series, Kara now fully dating Jake and this new Colin character, which I highly doubt.
He seemed to get too comfortable too quickly. Do you know what I mean?
Throwback to Jordan Calloway (Black Lightning)’s Jake and Kara for a minute, it was too soon for Jake to be ready to move on, I’m sorry, but in what world would Garbus encourage Jake to go back Where to get there?
She says she has feelings for Bode but she doesn’t want them because she loves Jack and wants to be with him. Now, she secretly kisses Bode and gives Jack dating advice.
Lord, the Fire Nation is like a roller coaster, but it’s just one big cycle after another and no one stops screaming.
Side note, how come the people who got stuck on the spinning ride didn’t throw up right after it finally came to a stop? Even I feel sick.
I can’t even imagine what else is going to happen in Fire Nation Season 1 because so far, everything is pointing to a boiling point and something truly terrible is going to happen.
But as long as Sharon isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, I’m a happy camper. I’m loving Eve’s arc so far. Give this woman all the career goals because she’s a firefighter.
Is Uncle Luke really gone, or will he come back?
Will Sharon get her kidney, or will this be an ongoing thing?
