Just when we were starting to lose hope in the brass at ABC, they got word that Morgan Guillory and High Potential were not leaving.
Yes, you read that correctly. ABC’s hit show is returning with more mind-boggling cases that only Kaitlin Olson can solve.
Fans of High Potential may be jumping for joy because the series has been killing it without any mention of a renewal.
Luckily, we can all stop pretending we didn’t know this show was going to get more licenses.
That’s no big deal, either, because according to The Hollywood Reporter, “ABC says the pilot has grown to more than 30 million viewers in the four months since it premiered.”
Then again, it’s like we didn’t know that High Potential would definitely be back with more bizarre murders of a tap-dancing mechanic and cases related to Galapagos customs.
As far as we know, ahead of the High Potential season 1 finale, Kaitlyn Olsen will join her regulars Javicia Leslie, Deniz Akdeniz, Amira J. , Matthew Lamb and Judy Reyes star together.
And, we can’t forget about Daniel Sunjata’s detective Adam Karadec, who will likely continue to make every scene sizzling with his smoldering presence—wait, we’re at say what?
The 12 million viewers who tuned in to watch High Potential Season 1 Episode 8 spoke volumes about how much the show was missed during the winter holidays.
While ABC certainly spent a lot of time getting the word out, we at least have to give them a pass since High Potential is the second show the network has renewed this season.
What this means for the rest of High Potential’s first season remains to be seen. Reshoots may be needed to accommodate the new storyline or even an additional episode to take the plot in the right direction.
For now, we can just buckle up and enjoy the wild and bizarre educational ride Morgan and team continue to take fans.
