Blue Blood derivatives are in progress, but that’s not what most fans hope for.
Branches without blue blood may be close. Most of our wishlist is basically another season in the original season, and CBS has come up with that idea.
Nonetheless, even with some serious continuity issues, Boston Blue still has promising reasons.
Donnie Wahlberg’s involvement is good news
Danny has never been my favorite character. That will always be Jamie. That said, I’m glad Donnie Wahlberg signed on to a new Blue Bloods spin-off.
Wahlberg’s passion for the original performance was second only to Tom Selleck. He tried to keep running wild and regretted that he couldn’t do it for his fans.
Most importantly, as far as Boston Blue goes, Valberg said he would only sign derivatives if he retained his original family values.
So if he goes all out, the series may have the same core value.
Sadly, the family would not be Reagan for the most part.
According to the description of the new series, Danny moved to Boston and worked with detectives from an outstanding police family.
While we won’t get Reagan, we might get a similar family, and Danny is a good fit.
Still, it was incredibly disappointing.
Boston Blue’s premise seems to contradict the ending of the Blue Blood series
Blue Bloods Season 14 Episode 18 wraps things up beautifully, but it also offers some new stories that may have been resolved in the party movie.
Jamie and Eddie’s first child is said to expire on June 13 this year.
Of course, this can still be part of Boston Blue. Danny may watch babies regularly via video chat, or occasionally visit New York.
However, Danny’s final storyline is hard to explain, as he has moved to a new city, probably alone.
In the Blue Bloods series finale, Danny finally admits that he is lonely and needs someone to go home. Afterwards, he asked Baez to go out for pizza.
While that brief scene doesn’t guarantee that he and Baez will eventually be together for a long time, it still seems to clash with the idea of Danny moving to Boston.
He is likely to start over, too. Does this mean he and Baez have broken up?
I really hope not.
This will be attracted to Danny/Batez shippers like me, mainly because his description of his new female partner makes my families like him think writers will eventually push them to romance.
Danny is not the type to escape, so leaving Town to get rid of bad memories is not his style.
If that was his excuse to go to Boston, it would make his character stand out, which wouldn’t be a good way for a new Blue Blood to start.
On the other hand, Danny’s blue blood in the final episodes seemed to be burned to the point where I guess (obviously wrong), the series will end with his early retirement.
Finally, although his hidden loneliness may be the cause, his lack of enthusiasm does not really explain it.
So maybe he needs a fresh start. However, for the new blue blood derivative to work properly, it must be explained correctly.
Danny is the one whose kid is most likely to move to another city
Danny has several stories about Blue Blood, in which he works with a random character instead of Baez.
Some of these episodes (such as those with Lyle Lovett) take place in other states where Danny shouldn’t have jurisdiction. So it’s not a big deal to believe he’ll move to Boston, or he’s easy to adapt.
Danny makes more sense than Jamie and Eddie, although I would love Jamie and Eddie spin-offs, the couple moved to Long Island , raise newborn babies in a quieter environment.
Since they have a child on the road, they don’t go far, and of course they are not absent.
If it was originally intended to be Danny’s story, I would feel better about Boston Blue.
no. The showman submitted a show for a show where one of the officials would be transferred to Boston must deal with a family including all policemen.
Somewhere along the way, some people thought that if Danny was the relevant officer, the premise would work very well, and the first blue blood derivative was born.
It’s easy to understand why the decision is made. This new series has a built-in police family, not Reagans.
CB may think this is a good trade-off. While there may not be a Reagan family dinner, the new family tradition that audiences may enjoy.
I’m not sure if this will work as much as the presenter would expect.
Boston Blue’s risk is too different from Blue Blood
Boston Blue is led by a creative team that is different from Blue Blood, so if they know what makes Blue Blood so special, it remains to be seen.
It’s not as simple as adding a dinner scene or giving Danny’s partner a family.
Reagan’s family values shine in every episode. The program in this series is not a series about the Irish Catholic police family.
Reagans’ religious beliefs and beliefs are that the first thing that families should always appear is an important aspect of the exhibition, which is very different from other procedures.
The secondary goal of the series is to showcase the NYPD with positive but fair lights.
Blue Blood is special for many former and current NYPD officials because it is as realistic as possible and they are not afraid to support the police even when public sentiments are opposed to them.
Boston Blue isn’t even set in New York. It could be shot on the soundstage in Los Angeles, which is cheaper than shooting on site.
What can it do for the Boston PD, what did the original do for the NYPD? Can it share its more conservative values while making people determined about the issues of the day?
With a new writer, a new location and a new central family, it’s hard to predict whether Boston Blue will appear in both like Danny’s character.
However, I’m willing to give the new series a chance.
Blue blood derivatives are better than nothing, and maybe, if we are lucky, the Reagans will make guest appearances from time to time.
The derivative product does not have to work like the original work. I don’t think I like Georgie and Mandy’s first marriage, but this has become one of my favorite shows.
