Island Records has promoted Jackie Winkler to senior vice president and head of A&R.
She will be based in Los Angeles and report directly to Island Records co-CEOs Imran Majid and Justin Eshak.
In her new role, Winkler will oversee the A&R department, spearheading lineup signing and creative development for the brand.
Winkler signature Sabrina Carpenter 2020 and has worked closely with the singer on her chart-topping new album, short and sweetranked first in fifteen countries, Including the United States and the United Kingdom.
The album topped the Hot 100 chart Espresso and Please please please please.
In addition to Carpenter, Winkler has worked closely with Grammy-nominated artists Demi Lovato, Keshi and Lauren Spencer Smith, whom the label says “guided them to multi-platinum success.”
Winkler began her career at Warner Records, where she was promoted from intern to A&R manager in 2011.
In this role, she discovered and signed Academy Award nominee, Grammy and Golden Globe winner Andra Day.
In 2015, she joined Island Records as A&R Director. In 2022, Island Records promoted her to Vice President of A&R.
