That’s the thing, Susan Duffy is another polarizing character that fans like or hate.
It has become a Reacher course (in many series), and sometimes Duffy Hate can be too much.
Yes, her accent is as annoying as the nails on the blackboard and is a fun character choice. But, unfortunately, it makes people speak and makes her memorable, so it works in some ways.
As for Reacher’s “love interest”, this season doesn’t let us work with it here.
While I have an interest in Lucky Lady climbing this tree every season (ladies, I love you), I can still admit that they have not been fully involved in the love interest section of this series since Roscoe of Reacher Season 1.
But this is neither here nor here.
Duffy does have some fun moments, and she and Reacher play well with each other to keep a girl entertained on the screen.
But when it comes to scattering characters on the microscope, Duffy is so frustrating that it can sometimes be shaken in an otherwise powerful season.
I sincerely hope that each of you is having fun drinking every time a woman says “Mother Teresa”. You can get better luck from Paulie Right Hook than recovering from the hangover from that drinking game.
Duffy’s Teresa’s obsession is annoying, and her level of tunnel vision is incomprehensible and reasonable.
When Duffy is strong and blackmailed a teenage girl in secret action in dangerous operations, she doesn’t even pay tribute to Teresa, so why should we care about her?
Duffy’s connection with Reacher is two collaborations throughout the situation, so he can take out Quinn and she can save Teresa.
When Duffy complained about Teresa, they nailed this at least six times because she needed to do something to relieve her inner gui.
This could actually be fun if the show had ever been reluctant to do more. Instead, our parallel deficits, which doesn’t work between Duffy and Reacher, where she somehow feels the action with Teresa and reflects him as Kohl.
Well, yes, no. Sorry, Duffy, my girl, isn’t even close to the same situation.
But throughout the season, we kept watching Duffy ruining his motives when Duffy essentially put everyone in danger and letting so many die just to save a girl we only found.
If the whole point is that Duffy is reckless, impulsive, a very misleading agent who wants to make up for putting Teresa in a terrible position and possibly putting the young woman’s life at a price, then putting the toucher in danger, putting other bodies in other ways, as other bodies gradually get into trouble because of Elliot’s predictable death and agents without hitting, and no hitting, and no hitting, and no hitting, and no hitting?
How much blood does Duffy have to overflow and save a girl? And, if we learn that trafficking is happening, does it matter to others at all?
This is the contact. The series is just solid fun, and we don’t want to take it too seriously. But even with this in mind, Duffy has a narrow range when driving forward.
Her behavior often doesn’t match what’s behind her motivations. It’s still confusing for someone who loves her so much that she still has a man who retires for five months in an unauthorized investigation that could kill his career or worse end his life.
For a woman who knows Elliot is a permanently screwed and green, it’s illogical and cannot make the rookie prone to errors as their hostages are almost all investigated.
Even Elliot’s death would not change Duffy’s motivation or expand it. Her revenge is about Teresa, nothing else.
Now is the best time for change and the time the series elaborates on Duffy. At least we spent some time with Elliot.
We know nothing about Teresa. She doesn’t get any background plot or flashbacks to Dominique Kohl, who makes a great impression in a single plot.
Hell, even the maid/ATF agent is someone we spent enough time to really feel the weight of her death, even if they were quick to move on.
Unfortunately, Duffy fascinated her entire personality with Teresa because unfortunately I couldn’t take care of myself and then extended to Duffy.
