Street View It is a very centralized urban atmosphere library: its exterior stereo recordings are just a few city blocks, depicting a tough and dense urban environment that is perfect for any urban thriller, modern black or cyberpunk project.
There are four stories on the street level of San Francisco, with clear details balancing the natural diffusion and trans record in this lush urban corridor, thus combining recording with definition without distraction. The recording is between three and nine minutes, with UCS-compliant file names and metadata, and provides markers describing major sound events. They were carefully planned and there was no radio music in passing vehicles or local businesses, no wind, only adult voices, and only a few birds could hear on some records.
Ambiences range from quiet, sparse to vibrant and active, shouting and murmur between car passes and other activities, echoing buildings huddled together like uninterrupted canyon walls. The city passes debris from truck lift doors, rattles of manhole covers, scooter wheels come to life on the sidewalks, and even open grills on the subway below, emitting the infamous “how call” as the train cars pass by underground. Dialogue, debate, vehicle beeps, garbage trucks, electric buses, motorcycles, hydraulic brake releases, jack boats, police siren, car alarms, etc., provide texture and specific sounds that are useful for any story set in a big city.
Whether used as a full bed or cut into specific sound events, Street View Can help you create dynamic, life-long urban soundscapes for movies, performances or games.
