    Mountainhead (2025): I don’t understand this

The drama of 2025 MountainheadI caught a cold. (Pun.) I didn’t get this, I watched it twice. The unrealistic technical language and grand allusions made me wonder what I just saw. I’m a big fan of Steve Carell. He sold himself to me as an actor office.

    1%

Writer/director Jesse Armstrong reflects 1% of the world’s cunning, or not so cunning. I think. In a world disaster, the small contingents in the work deal between four technically rich elites is realistic. The new regime in the United States is indeed making its own non-teacher version, while Rome Burns is making its own version.

*It can be said successfully that the new leader of the once free world surpassed Nile here. Slamming the White House like a drunk bull in a Chinese store, causing serious damage and chaos. He is not fiddling with it, but playing different types of tunes, one using the entire band. *

Armstrong occupied a small group of Vapids, self-obsessed businessmen, and gave them free rule. Mountainhead Probably not 1% or even our new government. But, if not, it should be.

    story

Four equally self-promoting Techo billionaires reunite. Their “party” takes place in the hilltop mansion that Goldfinger envies. Apart from the mix of the internet and fake news and real news, these people are separated from the real world. These self-made, technology-obsessed dictators will soon open one of their own.

    Main actor

    Steve Carell is Randall.

    Jason Schwartzman is a souvenir.

    Cory Michael Smith is Venis.

    Ramy Youssef is Jeff.

    Overwhelming verbally

Mountainhead Most of them are words. Although it is a luxurious mansion, from the sauna to the outdoor pool, it is too intimate. The movie could have been a stage play. Of course, it feels like a claustrophobia, verbal extreme.

    What works

Mountainhead Looks great. The scene, the mansion itself, shines like a new penny. But these things are not enough to make this overly intellectual storytelling work.

Until men open one of their clans, I have high hopes for this story. I wonder if this is an obscure version of the four cavalry. This was excluded despite their decision to murder one of their own.

    judgment

Mountainhead Earn 2.5 shaking 2.5 stars. This one is close to earning 0 stars. I can forgive the messy news, even mixing metaphors. But boredom is unforgivable. I allowed to score because I might not be smart enough to get this.

The movie is being streamed on Max. Go ahead and see what you think about it.
