The MTV VMAs are back with a star-studded lineup of hosts, performers and winners. The awards ceremony will be broadcast live from the USB Arena in New York on Wednesday (September 11) via MTV.
Megan Thee Stallion will serve as host in addition to performing on the show.
Taylor Swift leads this year’s nomination race with 12 nominations, followed by Post Malone with 11 nominations. Eminem, Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, SZA and Megan Thee Stallion each received seven nominations Tied for the lead. LISA, Billie Eilish, GloRilla, Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, Olivia Rodrigo, Benson Boone and Teddy Swims each received four nominations.
Anita, Beyoncé, Coldplay, Bleachers, Dua Lipa, Kendrick Lamar, Rao Alejandro and Tyra received three nominations. Also receiving two nominations are Bad Bunny, Camila Cabello, Drake, Hozier, Imagine Dragons, Jelly Roll, Jesse Murph, Jung Kook, NCT Dream, NewJeans, Sexxy Redd, Tate McRae, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Usher and Victoria Monet.
Katy Perry will receive the Video Vanguard Award at the ceremony and will perform a medley of her hits.

When will the 2024 MTV VMAs be held?
The VMA Awards return to UBS Arena on Wednesday, September 11, and air on MTV at 8pm ET/PT.
The show will also be simulcast on CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, BET, BET Her, MTV2, VH1, Nickelodeon and Paramount Network. In addition, the VMAs will be broadcast live on UniMás at 11:30 PM ET and will be broadcast on Univision.
How to watch the 2024 MTV VMAs on Paramount+
