The Daily Roundup you’re listening to is part of the Reality Steve Podcast. I’m your host, Reality Steve. Thank you all for tuning in this Wednesday, it was an absolutely crazy day yesterday for Bachelor Nation. We will discuss all of these. Mainly about Devin and his Instagram posts and his apology and deletion.
There are many places worth visiting here. I have other things I want to talk about, but I feel like that’s going to take up a good 20 to 25 minutes. I also want to talk a little bit about transcripts and what’s going to happen tomorrow on your weekly podcast, which is actually going to be happening today.
I’ll let you guys know that and we’ll talk about that in a minute. Before we get into all things Devon, there are a few things worth noting. First, I picked up Luca at the Puppy Resort yesterday. I honestly don’t even know what’s wrong with her. There was no change in her behavior. Apparently she has cones on now, but look in her eyes, trust me, I checked both eyes.
One eye doesn’t even look any more puffy than the other. One eye appears unscratched. I can’t even see any scratch marks. I didn’t see anything. She is now apparently unaffected. It didn’t bother her. I gave her eye drops. no problem. She took medication for it. Anti-inflammatories.
I mean, I expected to see at least some healing abrasions on her eyelids or around that area above her eyes. I didn’t see anything. I looked into both eyes as if I was looking into the wrong eye. They told me it was the left eye. Will they screw up? No, I looked into both eyes. No scratches anywhere. So, I appreciate what the dog resort is doing, you know, they’re not making it up.
There was an obvious scratch on her eyelid. She is bleeding. They took her to the vet who did what they needed to do. But it happened on Saturday. I’ll pick her up on Tuesday. So maybe it’s completely healed, but I’ll have to leave the cone on for a few more days because they say while it’s in the healing process, about three to four days later, you definitely don’t want her to touch it.
So, okay. I don’t see any scratches that she can touch, but I will listen to the documentation on this. I’ll probably take her cones off after seven days. Still give her eye drops and anti-inflammatory drugs. This is good news. She is normal. Yes. She walked around holding a cone. She still scrapes it against the wall.
This was to be expected as she didn’t realize how wide it was, but the good news is she was still her normal self with no change in behavior. I wanted to bring this up because a few of you emailed me about this. That’s almost it. Not necessarily scolding me, but saying it was disrespectful.
This is a transcript of the daily roundup I post on my website every day. You have to understand something. When I record my daily roundup to an audio file, like you hear every morning on this podcast, what I do is I take that audio file and then upload it to the artificial intelligence system, which creates the I translate.
Once it translated it for me, all I did was copy and paste. That’s it. I don’t proofread it because it would take a long time, and because I know that when translated through artificial intelligence, there will be a lot of spelling errors. They will have lots of periods and commas. You know, paragraphs are cut off in the wrong places, sentences and paragraphs are cut off where they shouldn’t be.
So I don’t have time to go through this every day. I just put it in the generator. It translates the daily roundup for the day for me. I copied and pasted it, put it on the website, and put it there for you to read. Well, what this does is, as long as there’s a correct name, I guess they’ll misspell it.
Many of you have said that it is disrespectful to misspell Dodon’s name, or misspell his name in German, or misspell anyone’s name in the show. I thought, I didn’t make a spelling mistake. I don’t transcribe my own podcasts. It’s not surprising that it’s experiencing artificial intelligence systems and artificial intelligence. They didn’t know how to spell the name Dodon.
I think they spell it DOTTE N. You know, I post transcripts every day except when I’m out of town, so you don’t get a Friday, we get a Monday, but some of you have emailed me and I’ve emailed you back just to say , hey, not me.
I’m obviously like this, it’s like they’re getting mad at me, saying you can at least spell their name, right? I was like, no, this is an AI-generated thing, I put my audio files in and it spits it out. I didn’t have time to proofread it and check for all the grammatical errors and all the periods and commas in the wrong places.
The paragraph breaks. I don’t have time for that. So this is just a, hey, here you go. Here’s the transcription because I know a lot of you asked. I don’t listen to podcasts. I’d rather read it. So, I give it to you. But, I get it. Just know that this is not me misspelling their names on purpose and this is not any blatant disrespect towards me.
No, not at all. So I just wanted to clarify a little bit about tomorrow’s weekly podcast because I got back from Vegas late Monday and I kind of miscalculated who will be the guest for next week. Whatever the case may be, I think it will happen this week. I don’t have time to record with anyone today. Or yesterday’s or today’s Thursday podcast.
So what we’re going to do is Dave, Neil and I are going live today at 11 a.m. central time. on his YouTube channel. We’re going to talk about Devon. I’ve only seen a few screenshots from his film, and we’re going to see those starting yesterday, and Dave will be slowly going through them.
We’ll break down a lot of what he said today on his YouTube channel at 11 a.m. Central Time. I’m guessing a lot of you who have jobs can’t see it live. That’s totally fine. All I have to do is ask Dave to send me that video and audio file. That’s how it will be.
This week’s podcast episode 408 episode 408 will be the video of me and Dave today and the audio file will be your podcast for this week. Next week, we’ll be dancing with the stars. Me, I don’t think that’s the case. It’s not going to happen because her assistant has always been nice.
She was very good last year and she is very good this year. Next week we’re going to have Cheryl Burke on, we’ve got the time scheduled. We booked three weeks ago and she was right on the money last time. So we’re going to have Cheryl taping next week, next Wednesday, the day after the Dancing With the Stars premiere.
So it will be great to have Cheryl here next Wednesday. We are recording. What could this be the podcast number for? 409 next week. Or next week’s four-oh-eight will be tomorrow’s four-oh-seven. I believe my numbers may be off. I don’t watch it, but just know that tomorrow’s weekly podcast will be Dave Neal and I on YouTube (his YouTube channel today) and he will just send me the video and audio files for that podcast.
So just wanted to let you know. There’s a lot to discuss about the 13-minute video Devin posted on Instagram yesterday, and I mean, your guess is as good as mine as to what his goal was. I know he means this is my point of view. However, what he presents doesn’t really seem to accept the idea that Devon is the devil.
Devin is a terrible person and he’s like, oh, thanks for the 13-minute video, Devin. Now I totally get it. I don’t have that impression. I don’t understand half of his videos. In fact, all of these text messages between him and Jen were running on the screen at breakneck speed in the background. I don’t understand the point of that, because it would make more sense if he said, here, look at this text, Jen said this, I said this, and then Jen said this.
He and I both dispute what has been said about him. That makes more sense to me, but he didn’t do it. He told everyone at the beginning of the video that this was not meant to be directed at Jen at all. I just want to tell what’s going on around me. He then continued playing for another 13 minutes, appearing to rush towards Jen.
So I’m very confused about the whole thing.
About the important part about it. My biggest question is, at no point during those 13 minutes did he address the significant allegations against him? Devon, who was that girl you were with in New York two weeks ago? Is she an ex-girlfriend? Will you solve this problem?
Jen said, as soon as the show was filmed, you asked the producer, how long will everyone stay together? Are you saying Jen at least solved the problem? Even though you called Jenna a scammer address, you said that’s what people want to know. Were there other women involved during the three months that you were accused?
What do you say, after the final rose I was sadly late in telling Jen about my change of heart in our relationship. It’s a pity it’s late. Why not address that part? Now you have more time to think about it. Yes, I understand. This is a live show. You are put on the spot. I get it. Maybe you’re a little stunned and don’t know what to say or what’s going on.
It all happened so fast. Well, you just posted a 13 minute video and you didn’t mention any of that. That’s why I thought, what’s the point of all this? This doesn’t make any sense at all. Things that people want to hear, to me it’s almost like Laura Owens style. When I sent Laura Owens an email in late 2023 asking her about the specific things that happened in the Clayton incident, the specific allegations, and the specific, specific things she said, I thought, but, but Laura , you need to explain this.
She then avoids the situation and talks about what she wants to talk about. That seems to be what Devin is doing in this clip. He doesn’t address the things that most people care about. I don’t know why. That’s why I just thought, what are we going to do with this video? What’s the point?
Tell the people around you. I don’t know which side you are on. If all he said in that clip was, well, Jen made it look like I was out of the relationship from the second the cameras stopped rolling. This is to prove that I am not. The problem is, he’s just running texts in the background, screenshots of their text messages without going into detail.
Some text messages were then blacked out and no context was provided. We can figure it out just by reading them. Oh, that’s what you’re talking about. Oh well. But again, I don’t know if that doesn’t prove to me that you’re 100% in this relationship. She feels like you didn’t bring it up and neither did he.
So it’s all just a mess.
