AFM producer Independent Film & Television Alliance (IFTA) has launched The AFM House to accommodate the expanding event and serve as home to the market’s Innovation Hub presented with the Marché du Film’s innovation programme, Cannes Next.
The 15,000-sq-ft AFM House is situated across the street from Fairmont Century Plaza at The Pavilion at Century Park and will offer a gathering place for attendees to explore talking points around the future of the global screen economy.
Innovation Hub debuted in 2025 and this year’s edition brings AI startups, technology companies, and forward-looking programming.
The Cinemas Club, co-created by Marché du Film and Cine Group, will host an exhibition and speaker series focused on the future of theatrical cinema. The Cinemas Club was introduced at this year’s Cannes and brings together theatre owners, distributors, producers and industry experts for discussions on the future of theatrical exhibition.
From November 11-14, the AFM House will host a dedicated marketplace, fireside chats, presentations and networking under the thematic heading The New Global Screen Economy.
IFTA president and CEO Jackie Brenneman said collaboration and innovation were more important than ever for the industry, adding: “Our collaboration with Cannes Next and the Cinemas Club expands that vision by creating a dedicated home for innovation, technology, and the future of theatrical exhibition.”
Marché du Film’s executive director Guillaume Esmiol said: “AFM is creating an ambitious new platform with The AFM House, and we look forward to connecting companies and ideas, and creating new opportunities for the global film industry throughout the year.”
AFM runs November 10-15.
