You asked for it, so here they are!
I’m happy to announce that today I’ll be releasing a new cinematic LUT pack: Genre Edition.
Last year I posted my Original Cinematic LUT Pack After many readers of this site asked me to create some color grading tools, I was absolutely blown away by their response. Thousands of people have chosen my LUT packs and given very positive feedback, and it’s really inspiring to see so many people using them for films, commercials, and music videos.
The following is an excerpt from my original LUT announcement detailing how and why these LUT packs were created:
My cinematic LUTs are all carefully designed around the same goal: to provide filmmakers with a way to significantly improve color quality while reducing post-production time.
Unlike simple conversion LUTs, which are often designed to convert color spaces (such as converting Log footage to Rec. 709), the LUT I created is stylized in nature. They are designed to be used as a creative tool, helping filmmakers quickly and easily experiment with different color looks, giving them more freedom to work creatively and spontaneously in post.
These LUTs can be used with almost any camera lens. Whether you’re grading RAW footage from RED or Blackmagic cameras, ProRes from Alexa, H264 from a DSLR, or any other format, the lookup tables included in these 3 packs will work every time.
Many other LUT packages currently available online are too extreme in nature, at least in my opinion. Some of these extreme LUTs are only suitable for daylight shots, while others may only look good on low-light footage. While these types of LUTs may be useful in some situations, they are far less versatile than the LUTs I create, which are designed to work with the widest possible range of footage while still providing a unique presentation to the image.
Over the months I’ve received many requests to release additional LUTs, so I developed a brand new genre version pack, which draws inspiration from three distinct film genres.

complete type package Contains 36 LUTs divided into 3 separate packages of 12 each: Blockbusters, art house and classics.
Here is a description of each item:
bombshell
Each stunning look included in this set is designed to deliver big-budget beauty in its own unique way. Some looks combined cool, slightly lifted shadows with warm highlights for Hollywood’s staple “teal and orange” look, while others used unconventional color and contrast combinations for overt dramatic effect. Whether applied to your next thriller for a legendary blockbuster look or used in a dramatic film to add stunning vibrancy to your scenes, these looks will deliver results like never before every time.
art house
Inspired by the color palettes of some of the most beautiful international arthouse films of all time, each look included in this pack is designed to add a subtle touch of beauty to every shot they touch. Multiple LUTs combine warm color balance with unexpected contrasts to create a gorgeous, romantic look. Others offer a more contemporary artistic expression by evoking a melancholic emotional tone through subtle, organic colors. No matter which look you choose to go with, you’ll undeniably find the same clever intention behind each look.
classic
These elegant looks are carefully crafted to represent the true color quality and balance of real motion picture stock and are sure to captivate your audience with their subtle tones. Each look enhances skin tones, balances vibrant colors, and adds slight contrast to your images, resulting in eye-catching images that are truly memorable. Each timeless look draws equal inspiration from today’s stock footage and films of the past, embodying the essence of cinema in its purer form.
Many similar LUT packs are sold online for anywhere from $50 to $100, but to bring these LUTs to a wider audience, I’ve priced them at $36 per pack. Additionally, all three packs of the Genre Edition can be purchased together for a discounted price of $89.
Each pack itself comes with 12 individual LUTs (36 LUTs if you buy the full pack), all delivered as .cube files – the industry-standard file type for LUT management.
Additionally, you will receive a 4-page PDF with your purchase that provides instructions for installing and using LUT files in a variety of software programs, including: DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer and Adobe Photoshop.
