2023 Super SaierI became That “Twister Two” wants to be. Here’s our restoration of Helen Hunt, Bill Paxton’s follow-up to an instant classic. This movie is about much more than just tornadoes. tornado It’s about relationships and the many variations that come with them.
*Supercell does tornado. Scene outside a gas station/convenience store as a second tornado passes over young Brody. He had a bag of popcorn, and a handful of popcorn was about to go into his mouth.
The alarm sounded and he opened his hand. The popcorn floats, just like Dorothy’s payload in the Paxton/Hunter movie. Later, the owner of Brody Travel Agency was slapped in the mouth. The scene doesn’t bear much resemblance to the scene in the original film where Storm Chaser Hardin beats up the goon.

story
Bill Brody and his wife Quinn are storm chasers. Young Brody lost his father in an epic tornado, but life went on. The teenager William Brody turns to has questions about authority, his mother, and his lack of understanding of his late father.
Bill Sr.’s old friend Roy gave William his father’s “Tornado Bible.” The teenager goes to see Roy and meets with him and Zane. Someone who bought the name Brody.

Anne Heche plays Quinn. Late wife of Bill Brody.
Skeet Ulrich plays Roy, Bill’s old partner.
Daniel Diemer plays William, the late Bill’s bargaining chip on the old block.
Alec Baldwin plays Zane. Someone we hate the moment he opens his mouth.

behind the scenes
Director Herbert James Winterstern co-wrote this homage to “Twister” with Anna Elizabeth James. As a tribute, the film works. supercell At its core is an exploration of identity. The relationship has some twists and turns, but nothing too deep.
FX is enough to bring us into the world of these slightly crazy storm chasers. Despite the limited scope and dialogue, all the actors performed their respective roles well.
useful; merely
supercell It works, but just barely. It’s the power of these super tornadoes that impresses people. There’s some talk of the legend, but the film wants us to believe that the storm chasers turned on the PBR after the chase.
The allusion to adrenaline junkies might be just right on the informational journey these people embark on. But the film fails because of its lack of human interaction. The content proved superficial and somewhat irrelevant.
For example:
Quinn’s speech in the hotel pool could have been the highlight of the movie, but it ended up being a bit lackluster. *supercell is one of the films the late Heche made before dating Destiny.
judgment
supercell Probably not tornado But it sure is fun. This is a three star movie that has been sold and is perfect for tornado (2024). It’s now streaming on Hulu. Check it out and see what you think.
