ABC renews ‘Abbott Elementary’ for fifth season
“Abbott Elementary School” has reached fifth grade.
Quinta Brunson’s academic sitcom has been renewed for a fifth season at ABC.
Albert Elementary Season 4 currently airs Wednesdays at 8:30 pm ET on ABC and the following day on Hulu. The show recently hit a ratings peak, with its winter premiere episode linked to “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” with 8.05 million viewers.
The series stars Brunson as Jenny Tigges, Tyler James Williams as Gregory Eddy, Janelle James as Ava Coleman, and Chris Perfetti as Jacob Hill , Lisa Ann Voight as Melissa Shementi, William Stanford Davis as Mr. Johnson, and Sheryl Lee Ralph as Barbara Howard. Teachers, principals and administrators work together to educate unruly children while dealing with the challenges of underfunded Philadelphia elementary schools.
Brunson created and executive produces “Abbott Elementary” along with Delicious Non-Sequitur Productions’ Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker, Randall Einhorn and Brian Rubenstein. The series is produced by Warner Bros. Television and 20th Television, a division of Disney Television Studios.
