Hu Yang is a charming droid character known for his intelligence, longevity, and unique role in the Jedi Order. Hu Yang is a Mark IV Professor of Construction Robotics who has served as a mentor and guide to countless young people over thousands of years, helping them through the complex process of building lightsabers.
Stationed aboard the Jedi ship the Crucible, he provided valuable knowledge of lightsaber design, kyber crystal selection, and Jedi traditions. Despite Hu Yang’s mechanical nature, he displayed an interesting personality, combining an almost fatherly concern for his students with a sharp wit and dry humor.
His rich memory bank preserves a treasure trove of Jedi history, making him a living archive of the ancient customs and practices of the Jedi Order.
