The following tortured poets departmentMonochromatic “shades of grey”, will Taylor Swift’s next era be “screaming colors”?
The Eras tour is on hold this weekend, but Swift is still known for keeping fans guessing what color outfits she’ll wear, debuting particularly bright, colorful outfits across North America over the past few weeks. new multi-color dress.
Swift was photographed arriving at a dinner spot in Manhattan on Friday night (November 8). She stepped out of the car wearing a familiar Vivienne Westwood silhouette: a style called the “Sunday dress” from Vivienne Westwood’s Spring/Summer 1997 collection (which Swift had worn before, albeit in a more subtle color). This Friday night, she wore a version of the dress, a simple striped skirt that became bold and colorful when it reached the corset-style bodice. The dress’s bodice is reminiscent of an artistic canvas, with yellow and red paints mixed together to create orange, all resting on the skirt’s blue striped fabric.
Meanwhile, on stage for the final leg of her Eras tour, Swift showed off her energy in a new series of colorful dresses during her acoustic surprise song. She’s been recycling Roberto Cavalli’s latest looks since she first wore them in Miami and New Orleans in October. (At football games, she mostly opts for a more subdued look: lots of black, mixed with Chiefs red.)
The Eras tour, which highlights music from the early days of Swift’s career through 2024, will officially end on December 8.
Here’s a quick roundup of the colorful dresses Swift recently debuted:
For dinner with friends, Swift wore a Vivienne Westwood design in an unexpected color combination, wearing a dress that featured a surreal fantasy on the top and practical stripes on the bottom. She paired her Nov. 8 street look in New York with a pair of burgundy Aquazzura velvet high-heeled sandals, a small black Vivienne Westwood purse and a retro statement necklace with a large coin as the centerpiece.
One of the new gowns Swift wore while performing the show’s surprise song was a custom colorful gown by Roberto Cavalli that faded from fiery red-orange to soft yellow and then to royal blue. She only recently wore the design, towards the end of her Eras tour. This is a photo she took on October 25 in New Orleans.
The Roberto Cavalli brand also offers the same dress silhouette as above, but in a pink and blue color scheme that mixes into purple in places. The photos below are from her Nov. 1 acoustic set in Indianapolis.
On November 5, Roberto Cavalli creative director Fausto Puglisi posted a photo on Instagram of Swift wearing a bright yellow, orange and pink gown (the same style pictured above), which is only available this fall Appearing on stage during her acoustic set. “My new sunset, new orchid, new tropical dream,” he captioned the image, which you can see here.
On October 29, Swift posted a slideshow of photos on Instagram from her recent weekend concert in New Orleans, which included a photo of herself in the new dress, which she wore in another Roberto Cavalli gown. She has added the dress to her Eras wardrobe options for a surprise song time. This one is blue and purple. See the dress here (shown in photo 14 of the set).
