It was recently revealed that three projects are currently in development in Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia as “the next step into this cinematic universe.” There is also a project set in Runeterra.
However, it was clarified that this is actually a project that may focus on three areas in the universe, rather than three separate shows.
In an interview with GamesRadar+, Link revealed more about the early creative stages of the post-Arcana project, and that a movie may also be in the works.
He said, “Yes, they need time. I said [in the Twitch interview] We’re exploring these regions – Noxus, Ionia – and we’re always focused on the characters, you know?
“When we think about the stories we’re exploring, it’s always about a specific champion or a specific character — I can’t name one yet because there are several.”
It will be a while before we see another project released, though. Link continued: “But yes, it’s going to take time – depending on whether it’s a series or a movie. We’re exploring it in many, many directions.
“A lot of it depends on finding the right people, the right vision, the right ideas and the right story. It takes years, and once we’re confident that something is happening, we’ll talk about it more.
I can’t wait to see what Riot and Linke do next, but we have to be patient.
