arcane Showrunner and Co-Creator Christian Link keep talking about the future League of Legends Animation Universe, the projects that will be spun off arcane.
In a recent interview with The Direct, Link said that the characters in the first two seasons of spin-off series Arcana have “personal stories.” So, although there won’t be arcane There’s still a lot of interest in exploring some familiar faces from other projects in Season 3.
When asked if there would be a third season arcane “Not a third season, but the personal stories of certain characters in Arcane that were considered in both seasons,” Link said.
He added: “[There] There’s definitely a sense of, “Hey, let’s continue their story with their own franchise and story.” So there’s no question that Arcane is just the first one. We want to keep telling stories.
It was recently revealed that three projects are currently in development in Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia as “the next step into this cinematic universe.” There is also a project set in Runeterra.
However, it was clarified that this is actually a project that may focus on three areas in the universe, rather than three separate shows.
When it came to the early creative stages of the Post-Arcana project, it was said that a movie was also a possibility.
He said, “Yes, they need time. I said [in the Twitch interview] We’re exploring these regions – Noxus, Ionia – and we’re always focused on the characters, you know?
“When we think about the stories we’re exploring, it’s always about a specific champion or a specific character — I can’t name one yet because there are several.”
Link continued: “But yes, it’s going to take time – depending on whether it’s a series or a movie. We’re exploring it in many, many directions.
“A lot of it depends on finding the right people, the right vision, the right ideas and the right story. It takes years, and once we’re confident that something is happening, we’ll talk about it more.
While it will be a long time before we see another animated project from Riot, I’m looking forward to it.
