If you have seen arcane Well you know season 2 includes a steamy sex scene between Cait and Vi. It was later revealed that there was a longer, more graphic version of the scene, but it was certainly too hot for Netflix.
Showrunner and Co-Creator Christian Link Recently talked about this scene and why it was cut. He also talked about the possibility of releasing it in some form.
The scene features Vi, who may have just said a final goodbye to her sister Jinx, only to find herself locked up in a prison cell in Piltover. After being released by Caitlin, the two kiss, and then one thing leads to another.
While the tense moments don’t leave much to the imagination, it avoids this by not showing any nudity or explicit behavior, thereby landing TV-14.
In an interview with Inverse Linke, he said: “The main challenge is that it has pushed our ratings to the point where it is a real threat to our ratings.”
Regarding the possibility of making it available for fans to watch, he said: “I don’t know if we can actually release it because if it’s still released by us… it exists! I guess it just depends on them Whether that’s going to affect our ratings, so, actually, I don’t know.
Link previously revealed that the scene was a “callback version.” He added: “We got criticism like ‘Are you really going to be rated mature now?'”
