Britain’s latest New Year Honors list has been revealed and includes some familiar faces from the music industry.
Those with new titles include:
- Austin Dabo OBE (Executive Vice President, Services Music, Atlantic Records UK);
- Jackie Hyde MBE (Vice President, Artist and Company Relations, Sony Music, servicing the music industry);
- Jasmine Dotiwala OBE (Long-standing broadcaster, servicing radio, music and equality, diversity and inclusion);
- Steve Lamarque MBE (Long-standing broadcaster and patron of the UK Music Venues Trust, which provides services to broadcasting and music venues).
Prior to joining Atlantic Records UK in 2020, Austin Dabo He held key editorial positions at Spotify and Apple Music for four years.
Before joining Spotify in 2016, he led music direction at influential British radio station BBC 1Xtra.
Over the past four years, Daboh’s success at Atlantic has included assisting Tion Wayne and Russ Millions Body Became the first drill track to top the UK charts.
Growing up in a single-parent family in South London, Dubbo Current board member and trustee of UD Music and Warner Music Group Social Justice Fund.

Jackie Hyde’s In the same year she was awarded the MBE, she was celebrating her 46th anniversary with Sony Music.
Hyde Said: “It is an incredible honor to receive this recognition, and I never imagined I would receive such an honor. When I joined CBS Records/Sony Music in 1979, I could not have imagined that 45 years later I would be in this industry and that I Imagine I’d get an MBE.
“It’s been an incredible and deeply joyful career that I’m extremely proud to be a part of and honored to work with such incredible artists, who I admire so much.”

Jackie Hyde MBE
Hyde Over the years, Sony Music UK has played a major role in the success and has collaborated with George Michael, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Celine Dion, Sade, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston , Barbra Streisand, Bob Dylan and The Clash, among others, developed trusted relationships.
Hyde is a board member of the annual Music Industry Trust Awards, which since its inception in 1992 has raised over £8 million for Nordoff & Robbins, the UK’s leading music therapy charity, and BRIT School in Croydon.
She is also a board member of the Silver Clef charity lunch, which has raised more than £16 million for Nordoff & Robbins since it was first held in the 1970s.
Steve Lamarque He has been a contributor to BBC Radio since the early 1990s and previously worked as a reporter for music magazine NME.
He co-hosted BBC Radio 1’s The Evening Sessions with Jo Whiley from 1993-97, before moving to BBC 6Music.
On 6Music, Lamacq provided a regular driving slot for 18 years before exiting the show in 2023.
He continues to broadcast with the BBC and other agencies and is music venue trustprotecting the interests of Britain’s independent music venues.
Jasmine Dotiwala With over 25 years’ experience as head of department, manager, broadcaster, producer, director, inclusion leader and columnist at brands including Netflix UK, Media Trust, Channel 4 News, MTV and more.
In 2020, she began working on the Netflix UK editorial and publishing team. She continues to support the Media Trust Initiative.
A multimedia journalist and producer as well as a D&I specialist, Dotiwala developed the Media Trust broadcast trainee scheme London360, whose diverse alumni (more than 400 to date) hold senior roles in UK television broadcasters and creative industries.global music business
