Bad Monkey recaps the final episode. Is he really a young man? Never mind, this show isn’t that profound. Although it feels like a weird knock-off of Death and Other Details. The midseason review of Bad Monkeys feels weird and a little hopeless.

    It’s more of a backstory

In this episode; titled, somewhat aptly: No problem, I just don’t need it anymoreit’s all about the backstory. We learned all about Eve and Nick and Israel Opiel. And of course everything about Andrew Yancey and his fall from grace.

    first.

for those watching bad monkey We know that in the first episode, Yancey used his car to push Bonnie’s (Michelle Monaghan) husband into a drink. This got him into even more trouble. But we now know that this isn’t the first time.

*Side note here: Great to see Scott Glenn in this movie. He plays Yancy’s father. The long-serving character actor never fails to deliver. glen rock bad monkey as well as.

We see Yancey meet Bonnie and see Eve manipulating Nick on her pinky finger.

Izzy (Zach Braff) surgically removed Nick’s left arm and chopped it off. He needed to make it look like a boating accident.

Eve still couldn’t cry on demand.

If you give a mouse a cookie

Eve teaches Nick about potential blackmailers by referencing the children’s book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. The young man who helped him pull off the death hoax wanted more money. Cue the young man’s death at the hands of Nick.

Like the children’s story, Nick and Eve decided that one death was not enough. After seeing Yancey’s business card, he killed his old friend and business partner Israel. Izzy tells Nick he’s going to tell the “food police” everything and then signs his own death warrant.

    Nick took the cookie.

    and.

Heather from Weather got her own cookie. From Eve.

    Yancey and his colleagues

Yancey and Rosa (Natalie Martinez) share a popsicle and make small talk. Then Rosa takes the relationship to the next level. Yancey learns that the morgue is not as disturbing as he thought.

Eve finally learned to cry on cue.

    Yancey was jumped by Nick.

bad monkey Things are starting to look up, and it seems like Mendez may be after Yancey for Izzy’s murder.

    judgment

bad monkey Possibly beyond death and other details. Time will tell. Maybe next week we’ll learn Bonnie’s entire backstory. The show airs every Wednesday on Apple + TV.
