The series bad monkey has been renewed for a second season on Apple TV+. The series “tells the story of Andrew Yancy (Vince Vaughn), who has been fired from the Miami Police Department and is now a health inspector for the Keys.
But after stumbling upon a case that started with a human arm scooped up by a tourist, he realizes that if he can prove murder, he’ll be back.
The show originally debuted on Apple’s streaming service in August and aired its season finale in October. The first season is adapted from the author’s novel of the same name Carl Hiasson.
There is a sequel to the novel bad monkey, Titled razor girlbut the second season will not be based on the book, according to people familiar with production. bill lawrence (Scrub, tedso) developed the series.
“I want people to know that Karl Hiasson is my idol and my inspiration as a writer,” Lawrence said. “It’s very exciting to be able to continue telling his story with Vince Vaughn and this great cast, at least with the characters who are still alive.
“I’m extremely grateful to our partners at Apple TV+ and Warner Bros., and to the entire team that helped bring this show to life.”
