In an exchange with Matt, when Becca gets sick, Matt reiterates that he can’t cover for her this time (good call, but not believable). She was definitely pregnant and had a secret to keep.
Becca returns home and sees Joe (Peter Claffey) sleeping. He wakes up and tells her two things he likes about her, but he’s too sleepy to say the third. Poor Joe; he’s a little overwhelmed.
The sisters meet at a seaside steam bath, only to see Angelica (Fiona Shaw) cleaning up trash on the beach. Eva (Sharon Horgan) tries to start the conversation in a polite way. Angelica again says Grace (Anne-Marie Duff) told her “everything.” Eva calls Bullshit and says Grace is too cautious to tell her secret to the whole city. Becca called Angelica a “Stage 5 holdout,” which was a nice jab. Angelica fired back, blaming the sisters for causing Grace’s death by instilling guilt and shame. She knows that each of the Garvey sisters feels guilty about Grace’s death and calls Becca a little time bomb. They are still assuming that Angelica blackmailed Grace, ultimately leading to Grace’s death.
Becca came up with the idea of going to Angelica’s house to look for money. They hope to tie Angelica directly to the blackmail and plan to break into the house while Angelica and Roger (Michael Smiley) are practicing with the choir at church. Ursula (Eve Berthistle) remains conflicted, remembering Grace’s beautiful voice but also lamenting the intrusion of another madman into their lives. This show does a great job of showing conflicting feelings of guilt.
Beca realized she wasn’t supposed to be in the sauna and opened the door. Eva tries to be the voice of reason and thwart the crazy plans to join the breakout and get into the mix. After Bibi (Sarah Green) took office, another bad decision occurred.
Knowing she’s outnumbered, Eva goes into planning mode and starts making a break-in checklist: a fully charged phone, binoculars, and scolding Bibi and Becca for wearing all black. But Eva remembers that Brained’s (Seth Quinn) game is happening at the same time, so the other sisters are on their own to complete the next part of the plan, and you just know it’s going to go all kinds of wrong, Especially considering Eva’s parting wisdom, “Leave no trace.”
During the camouflage competition, Angelica once again quietly approached Bla and presented her with a new helmet before the competition. She noticed Ian hugging Eva with disapproval on his face.

During the game, Brannide was full of aggression — her sadness, anger and confusion all showed on the court. All it takes is a mean word from the other person to start the fight. Another parent commented “The fucking Garveys. All the same.” Like, if they wanted to do a prelude show for Bad Sisters, I’d be on it. Branade’s cousin Molly (Kate Higgins) tries to comfort Bra, but ends up getting a stick in the mouth. The kids are not okay.
The show does a great job with its dark humor, and this episode really highlighted that. Bibi and Becca try to break into Angelica’s house, but Becca “pees nervously.” Ursula keeps watch and provides live coverage to the sisters until creepy Roger comes along and asks Ursula out. wait. What? Will he pass all the sisters? Bad decision, Roger. Ursula is saved when her ex-husband calls her to tell her about Molly.
Searching Angelica’s house for clues, Becca and Bibi discover a prayer card for Angelica’s late husband Edward Collins (who died aged 57) and an obituary confirming that Edward was there for another The woman left Angelica. Just then, they heard something in the closet and were surprised to find a cute rabbit. Bibi and Becca wonder what Angelica could do with the rabbit. The sisters find the room Angelica decorated for Bra Nade and see Bra’s school jacket. Becca got sick at the wrong time and when Angelica came home, Becca was in the bathroom. Bibi had already slipped out, and Beca could only find a way out by herself, take the most direct route, push Angelica away, and run out from the front. Becca is doomed and Bibi takes the rabbit hostage, but it gets free.

Back at the Garvey Centre, Bibi and Becca outline the break-in and the room they found for Branyard in front of Ian (Owen Macdonald). Who allowed him to enter the circle of trust? Just then, Feigl and Houlihan arrived and arrested Becca who broke into Angelica’s house. They finally get a chance to question Becca.
Angelica (while wearing her own neck brace) dramatized the attack and lamented to Roger that she had no idea what she had done to deserve such treatment. Roger defends the Garvey family, eventually sharing the secret of JP’s rape of Eva. The expression on Angelica’s face was unclear. Is she remembering something from the past or filing this message away for later?
Houlihan and Feigl begin interrogating and their assumptions are disproven, but Becca is angry that they are still investigating JP’s death instead of focusing on what happened to Grace; she shares information about the bank withdrawal.
Risking Becca’s freedom, the sisters invite Angelica over to appeal to her family values in an attempt to drop the charges. That’s no. money? No. Angelica wants to scatter Grace’s ashes. It was such a strange request for intimacy, but they agreed and Becca was released.
Eva goes to pick up Becca and reveals that the guards are investigating them all as co-conspirators in JP’s murder, and, oh, she’s pregnant. Becca makes a bad decision when she gets a text from Joe saying dinner is ready and jumps out of the car to visit Matt Garvey. Joe follows her there and confronts them both. Feeling the walls closing in, Beca begged for space and walked away. Bad decision.
Continuing with the theme of bad decisions, Eva seeks comfort from Ian after discovering they are investigating the sisters for JP’s murder. Eva is convinced that Angelica still has the upper hand and knows their secret. Ian assures her that everything will be fine. He even promised.
The episode ends with Ian threatening Angelica to stay away from the Garvey sisters. He was persuasive and threatening. He said Angelica was mentally ill, but I think games are games. Is Anjelica a red herring and Ian the villain of the season? Why does Roger creep me out? Will Fergus give Houlihan his full attention?
