Lee Walters will take on the role of chair of BAFTA Cymru in Wales, it will be revealed on Monday.
Waters has been chief executive of Ffilm Cymru Wales since 2023, succeeding BAFTA Cymru Award-winning presenter Angharad Mair After nine years in the role.
BAFTA Cymru was established 35 years ago to support, celebrate and develop creative talent in Wales.
As Chair, Lee leads the BAFTA Cymru Committee, which guides their work to support the film, games and TV industries in Wales through the annual BAFTA Cymru Awards and events programme.
The committee also oversees the distribution of the Prince William BAFTA Bursaries. Waters was co-opted to the BAFTA Cymru committee in April
Prior to joining Ffilm Cymru Wales, he spent 15 years in a varied career at the BBC, culminating in the role of Senior Change Manager responsible for the establishment of BBC Wales’ new headquarters in Cardiff city centre.
