Believe has unveiled a new leadership structure for its operations in the Middle East and North Africa region, appointing Liliana Abidalo as head of label and artist solutions for the Middle East and North Africa and Celine Hitti as head of artist services for the Middle East and North Africa.
Both of them will Dolly MakurManaging Director, Middle East and North Africa, Believe.
Based in Dubai, UAE, Liliana Abidalo will lead Believe’s label and artist solutions.
In this role, Liliana Abidalo will lead Believe’s team of label and artist relations managers, as well as editorial and marketing partners, in Egypt, UAE, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria.
Abdallo has over 16 years of experience in digital advertising, technology and music. Her music industry career began on YouTube in London, where she played a key role in live broadcasts of major music events such as Tomorrowland.
She later moved to Dubai where she spent ten years working with major music labels, publishers and artists in the MENA region.
Paris-based Celine Hitti has been promoted to director of artist services. In her new role, Believe said she will focus on “empowering independent artists with premium services to maximize audience and fan engagement.”
With this appointment, the scope of the company’s artist services division, previously focused on the Maghreb, has been expanded to cover all major regions in the MENA region, with a focus on Egyptian, Lebanese and Khaleeji artists.
Believe, the former head of editorial and marketing partnerships at Believe MENA, said Hitti “has made a huge contribution to the development of the Arab music scene.” Recently, she was included in Billboard Arabia’s 40 Under 40 list.
